TROG in California

I see many of my friends are heading to Colorado for the Hot Rod Hill Climb event. The event sure looks like a good time in a beautiful mountain venue. FB will be full of photos so check them out frequently. Here in our area we are being blessed with “The Race of Gentlemen,” TROG, being held on October 15-16 in beautiful Pismo Beach, CA. The race will be held on Groover beach which is in the middle of Pismo Beach. You can purchase your weekend pass on their website —https://the-race-of-gentlemen.ticketleap.com $50 — Driving events with old cars is how this hobby started and to see so many new driving/racing events taking place puts a big smile on my face. I miss the PRC Reliability Run and this will hopefully take its place and become an annual event for us West Coasters.

The Pismo Beach area is not inexpensive and I’m sure, even though this is the off season, rooms will be hard to come by. You can stay anywhere around the race for less money, but enjoy yourself, stay in the scenic hotels right on the beach. Tomorrow or next year may never come. I hope to see you there…

I will be at Wavecrest this Saturday and the Outriders on Sunday. A fun packed weekend driving our Hot Rods.
