I mentioned in an earlier post that the LA Roadster club had a party at the Petersen Museum to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. Joy Mayall, the editor of Streetscene magazine, was in attendance and took a very nice picture of the group standing beside the McGee roadster. This was the car used to make the profile on the LA Roadster plaque. Joe also took a picture of Dick Scritchfield and his famous phaeton. Thanks Joe for the great pictures and thanks Bruce Meyer for the perfect restoration of a beautiful roadster that was way ahead of its time. The Roadster Club members were big in Deuces in the early years.
I included some more photos of the 40 Fords at LaPalma Park. The perfect pair, in my mind, would be a Deuce Roadster and a 40 Ford Coupe.
Stay tuned for more cars tomorrow.
