The hot weather continues and the prediction is more of the same for the rest of the week. I guess I will stay inside and catch up on some computer work. I ran out of the DP and now have to go to another county to purchase the good stuff. I sure don’t understand air quality being restricted to the LA area. I thought air travels where ever it wants to go. Perhaps LA ‘s AQB wants to make business’s keep paying fees and adding new equipment for something that will never make a difference in my mind. It seems that almost every thing I like to do has come under scrutiny of the government. I sure hope they stay out of my garage, the HOA is bad enough.
I will hold up taking any more parts to the blaster until I can purchase some more primer. Red Oxide is not available in water base paints yet but will be soon. I like red oxide as that is the color base that produces the best black for me.
I have some more pictures today so lets stay cool and…
Stay Tooned!

This is my paint booth in the back yard. Note the clean blue tarp on the ground to protect the grass. Andre’s doors are near perfect with no rust out anywhere. I sanded the door with 80 grit per Andy’s recommendation and they came out really nice.
I have had several 40 fords but they all required work on the bottom where the water sits. Andre must have lead a sheltered life in his early years.
All of the deliveries I have owned had camper style mirrors installed so the driver could see the road. I will fill these holes as I like the stock hinge mounted mirrors.
These are the lower holes that are harder to weld without warping.
Primer looks good after two medium coats so I quite before the runs start.
This is how the day ended and I was ready for a cold one. I wish the whole car was in primer but that day will come sooner or later.
The V8 club had a nice selection of phaetons on their outing. These three were just waiting for the photographer to show up.
You can select which version you like, spare tire, luggage rack and no spare tire.
Yes, another phaeton was hiding in the garage along with a roadster and several other cars. Nice collection of early V8’s.
It looks like the party has started. The nice 39 convert and Mercury convertible sedan looked right at home.
Today’s sedan…a new local car I hear is just about finished. I think Roy built this one.
I shot this photos at this years LARS and just found out the car is local. I have yet to find out who owns this beauty. Roy can build a nice Deuce with lots of details and one of his brother’s’ frames. Super Car!
