Thursday’s Thoughts

I had my first therapy with the physical therapist yesterday and he won. I have been through this procedure before and was prepared for the pain that I would have to endure. It is sort of like a root canal, which is also a lot of fun. When the heat/Novocaine wears off, the stiffness begins and to top that off it is cold here today and very windy. Be patient and I will help you. I think I have heard that before. Enough complaining, back to the cars.

I received a picture from someone today of a very nice cloud mist gray standard 40 Tudor that sure looks great. No price, or location so it is in the dreaming category and will be shown at the end of todays cars. My friend Bob also has a very nice black 40 deluxe coupe should anyone be in the market for a $65K coupe.

Today, being Valentines Day is special for the wife and I. We always make it a point to show our affection for one another so we are having a dinner party tonight for some of our OLD friends from college.  The BS, beer and lies will be flowing and the trip to the garage for the boys will lead to comments like….not much progress, what’s the holdup, don’t you ever finish these things. I can’t wait to respond. I can’t print the words but I am sure you can guess.

Only purchase a single rose, it gets a better response and saves more money for the garage projects.

Let’s look at some cars.

Stay Tooned.

Halibrand V8 QC on ebay for only $5,000

Steve’s full fendered deuce, black and spotless, new bias tires and steelies add to the look.

Neighbor’s snow from local mountains. My kids lived in the real driveway snow in Minnesota.  Several feet high.

Tom’s 34 3 window project. Retirement has been good to Tom. He is like me, buys one and starts looking for another one. He likes 34’s….so do I.

Lou in Idaho with lots of snow took this picture of his beautiful 5 window before the snow came. Idaho knows snow. Lou has some really nice cars in his collection.

Nice 4o Ford Tudor that someone sent me pictures of today. I love the color….cloud mist gray. The car sure sits nice with a 327, stock driveline, dropped axle, mono leafs and radials.

My friend Ed did this to his Chevy. Olds valve covers and a generator. Looks period at first glance.

Ray started this trend when he built two 40 standard Tudors with LB interiors. Very nice for the resto- rod look.
