Wednesday’s Words

On Tuesday’s I go to the Corvette breakfast and the BRB luncheon which keeps me informed on the latest in what’s going on in our area. The Corvette Club talked about the new 2020 mid-engine Corvette. Rumors are that the cost will be in the $120-150 range fully equipped and no convertible. I have included some photos.

The Back Road Boys discussion centered around NSRA’s Bakersfield event next weekend and who is going on Saturday. I am going to Dana Point so I will not be attending as Jane and I enjoy the Woodie meets more than Bakersfield. Our crowd seems to have great camaraderie and provides a day of fun.

Speaking of fun The Deuces on 101 event is coming along nicely. Steve has made some more information available as of today. The Host Hotel is filling up fast so make your reservations soon. He also has provided a list of other Hotels and rates for you to consider. Space will be available for trailer parking for those of you who are bringing a trailer. Deuceson101.com will be fully updated soon. You won’t want to me this initial Deuce show.

Work continues on the Deuce so it will be ready for the Deuce show in October. I hope to have the top done by then to reduce the wind in October. I will otherwise suit up Jane and I for a cold roadster ride up the coast.

Stay Tooned!

Lynn

Just a rendering but this is the 2020 Corvette.
The rear view reveals the side air intakes for the mid-engine.
Corvette has come along way since 1957. Corvette owners had a hard time fitting in these cars.
A 39 convertible sedan is a stylish cruiser for the family.
Frank’s 36 is just perfect.
The 3/4 view is even better for this beautiful Cabriolet.
From the Lonestar Roundup this cool 40 pickup was my favorite.
A Deuce pickup really looks nice with the flat paint.
Stoker’s has a super nice 34 Ford Woody in house now. They are making improvements to this rare woodie.

Dressed flathead looks good under the hood. 8BA
You would be hard pressed to find another one this nice. Terry always has nice cars.
A 33 roadster at the Roundup was another favorite of mine. Love those 33’s!!

Pure Hot Rod !

Sedan turned Phaeton doesn’t look too bad to me.
In process, this roadster has the look. Side steering is interesting!

In process 5W looks good as a hiboy.
Chopped with Carson style top and skirts give this 39 a Custom look.
Dave has a 40 with a more modern look. Which do you prefer?
Great shot for Two For Tuesday! 46 & 50
My favorite car lady Sonya, a Mustang gal, is making this yellow fastback Chevrolet look even better. Two beautiful ladies!! Thanks Shane for the great photo!!
