The 51st NSRA Nationals is in the books and it appears 7420 registered participants had a good time despite the current unrest and Pandemic in Louisville. My hats off to NSRA and all who attended this annual event. I received lots of photos from FB as well as others of some nice cars that were in attendance. Several are shown in today’s post.
Car events in our area are only local get-togethers and nothing formally organized as large gathering of people is prohibited by the Government. Our Back Road Boys tours, which normally number twenty-plus, have only had one outing of eight people and we practiced social distancing. I don’t see that changing this year. Our restaurants are not open to indoor dining.
Dining outside is easy for us even if we have to take our own or get curb-service for our local outings. We are going to drive our cars with all the safety concerns observed. Staying at home is getting very boring for most of us.
I am sorry to announce the passing of a friend of mine and legend in the Hot Rod field. Henry Dana has moved on to take his place with other legends who have moved on to the higher ground. He was a very talented builder and known for his Dana Red Hot Rods. I first met Nancy and Henry in Georgia while working as a District Manager for GM in the ’70s. Our friendship has lasted all these years. He will be missed.
