The 4th of July starts vacations for many Americans. Â General Motors required we take the first two weeks of July off as the plants were closed for model change over and I have been doing that for many years. Â Now that I am retired I also try to do something with the wife that resembles a vacation. Â When you live in Southern California you don’t have to go far to enjoy a nice vacation. Â We usually head toward San Diego and work our way back home seeing old friends in Orange County. Â I may take in a few hot rod shops but maybe I will take some time off from the cars…..NOPE!
I wish all of you a safe and sound holiday and always remember what you are celebrating…. Â Independence Day and the freedom we all enjoy in America. I know all of you will be doing the BBQ and getting together with family and friends and not thinking about the reason for the celebration so I am reminding you that we really do have a good reason for this day off.
Have a Wonderful Holiday
I always smile when I am sitting in Ruby….I do my best work right here.
