Friday’s Feature

Beautiful day in Southern California. This is definitely a roadster day for the enthusiasts. Leave the top in the garage and head for the road for some serious cruising. Sunday is the Roaming Relics Car Show in Moorpark which always draws 500 plus cars. This is a great time of year and kind of the last fling before Winter arrives. While we don’t have much of a Winter, people still reduce their Hot Rod activities and maybe do a few upgrades or minor repairs.

I still am waiting for the manifold to be finished, so the motor installation will have to wait. This is the day when you need to have a done roadster and an in-process roadster.

Have a good weekend and enjoy the cheap gas. It is below $3.00 in the Valley. Fill up your cars as OPEC is cutting production so they can jack up the prices again. Don’t get me started.

Lets look at some cars.

Stay Tooned!

Nice SO-CAL built blue 32. White top and white walls looks great and adds to the style of the car. In the “old days” most cars were run without hoods to show the engines.

Today you could drive this flathead powered roadster and it would not overheat. Well maybe not.

If you must have a top this would be the one to have. Lomabardo’s Regency Red Hiboy with a Woody Gilmore chassis.

A roadster really needs a great looking interior and JR’s has the look…heater and all. It is hard to beat class. Tom Sewell can sew the threads and Moal can build the car.

I used to see this at Max’s Dinner every Saturday when I lived in Danville. Roy Brizio built, pre – Brookville. Still one of my favorite cars of the period. The owner keeps the car immaculate.

Jim has had this “Oldie” for several years. A history car that has been restored and it driven regularly.

Sitting in the shade this 33 Hiboy with the homemade windshield post looks ready to take off. I am not sure if this is a real car or plastic. Does it matter….No!

Jim’s very nice yellow Hiboy with all the trimmings. Owner built for the most part. Brizio frame, Brookville body with Cypress Auto Body paint and Ron Mangus interior. Love the look of the dash in this car.

3 window Larry’s nice coupe at Moal’s booth this year in P-Town. You have to see this car.
