Monday’s Weekend

Monday’s Weekend

April 19, 2010 7:58 pm0 comments

Sometimes the weekend is what it is supposed to be…action packed and fun with cars. Sunday was the best day with the open house at B&E Customs in Chatsworth. I arrived early only to find the cars were already filling up the huge parking area. All kinds of cars showed up for the event and I think everyone had a great time. As you know, I love looking at metal fabrication and Bobby does excellent work with years of experience. His partner also does outstanding paint work. The two of them turn out some really high quality hot rods. I had to leave about noon but lots of cars and people were still in attendance. If you are in the area be sure to stop in and say hello.

The Donut Derelicts Saturday morning show produced some very nice photos of a high end 1940 Ford sedan delivery. I have seen this car at the Outrider’s Picnic but it is always great to see it again. Thanks Rich for the photos. Some morning I am going to get up early and head down to the Beach and look at some great cars.

I finished up the evening with the CMA Awards show. Lady Antebellum is my favorite right now…”I need you now”…

Stay Tooned!

Early set up of the delicious Taco booth.

The boys have been working on this beauty for several months but it is finally looking real good. Style is owner’s taste and has several innovative features.

The first lot filled up quick. Dick’s convertible had a choice spot for being first in the Taco line.

Cars were parked all along the entry to the shops. I think I know the Corvette folks.

Mike had his delivery of 25 years looking real sharp. I like these cars for their uniqueness.

Cute 40 coupe had a turbo charged flatty. Note mounting and carb.

Frantic built this one for Vicky and it has always been one of my favorite Cab’s. Gary will like the color and Sharon would love one of these to match his woody.

B&E has the metal equipment to do all of your custom work with precision. The shop is always this clean.

This is the paint area and it also stays immaculate all the time.

Here is sample of their work…a 29 phone booth truck.

Today’s delivery…DD special.

You never know what will show up during the Donut Derelict gathering on Saturday morning at the beach. I hope he didn’t fill the back with donuts for the kids.
